AON BANS COMFORT EMMANSON INDEFINITELY FOR VIOLENT AIRPORT INCIDENT

The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has placed Comfort Emmanson on its ‘No Fly’ list indefinitely after her violent, unruly conduct aboard Ibom Air flight Q9 303 from Uyo to Lagos. Emmanson reportedly refused to follow safety rules on mobile phone use during landing, physically assaulted crew members, and even tried to use a fire extinguisher as a weapon. AON called this one of the most severe passenger disruptions of 2025, condemning the sustained attack that endangered crew, passengers, and the aircraft.

The association fully supports Ibom Air’s handling of the incident and demands tighter airport security nationwide. AON warns that future unruly behaviour by any passenger will lead to similar serious consequences. They urge passengers to express grievances lawfully and prioritise safety for all.
