Governor Biodun Oyebanji has dissolved the Ekiti State Executive Council effective immediately, asking affected Commissioners and Special Advisers to hand over duties to senior civil servants. However, key officials including the Attorney-General, Commissioners for Health, Agriculture, Education, Works, Trade, and some Special Advisers remain in office. Directors General in key state agencies also keep their roles as the government resets for the next phase.
Oyebanji thanked those leaving the council and wished them well in their future ventures.
