WAEC RELEASES CORRECTED 2025 WASSCE RESULTS AFTER MARKING ERROR

Dr. Amos Dangut, WAEC’s Head of National Office, revealed a printing error skewed the English Language Objective Paper grading for the 2025 WASSCE results, causing a sharp drop in scores. After review, the corrected results show 62.96% of candidates earned credits in five or more subjects including English and Math—up from the erroneously reported 38.32%. Computer-based test candidates were unaffected. Nearly 10% of results remain withheld pending malpractice investigations.

WAEC apologizes for the confusion and urges candidates to check their updated results online and apply for digital certificates. The Council also calls on indebted states to clear dues to enable smooth release of remaining results.
