The National Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) project held a focused two-day technical mission across Bauchi, Gombe, and Plateau to tackle challenges and boost livestock productivity. Unlike regular supervision visits, this mission delivered hands-on solutions to improve water and pasture resources, upgrade abattoirs, and expand market access for farmers.
Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar, L-PRES National Coordinator, praised Bauchi’s progress and urged intensified efforts for even better outcomes. The Bauchi team highlighted the mission’s role in strengthening collaboration between state and national experts, framing ongoing challenges as part of the project’s growth journey. With support from the World Bank, L-PRES aims to enhance Nigeria’s livestock value chain across 20 states.
