Google has introduced Storybook, a creative new feature in the Gemini app that transforms photos, images, and even children’s fridge drawings into short narrated tales. This tool taps into Nigeria’s rich storytelling heritage and supports its 39 million kids under six by making learning fun, interactive, and personal.
Storybook lets parents and educators generate 10-page illustrated stories starring their children and favorite toys, complete with narration. It’s more than AI—it’s a way for families to create meaningful educational stories, share life adventures, or craft unique gifts. Google’s Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade says it’s a fresh canvas for capturing the little moments central to early learning in Nigerian homes.
