At 82, Dr. Abiola broke gender barriers as the first woman to edit and manage a national newspaper and played a vital role in Nigeria’s democratic struggles, especially after the annulled June 12, 1993 election.
Tinubu remembered her journalism journey from Daily Sketch to leading the Concord Group, her bold defense of truth and justice under military rule, and her unwavering support for her late husband, Chief MKO Abiola.
