Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano has received the investigative committee’s report on Transport Commissioner Alhaji Ibrahim Namadi’s involvement in the bail of suspected drug baron Sulaiman Danwawu. The report reveals that Namadi voluntarily stood surety, understood the court conditions, and was aware of the drug charges and government’s anti-drug policy. However, he showed a lack of due diligence, didn’t pay any bail deposit, and had no prior ties or financial incentives linked to the defendant.
Governor Yusuf praised the committee’s thoroughness and vowed to review the findings carefully, promising transparent and fair action aligned with public interest. The administration remains firm on justice, discipline, and combating drug crimes in Kano.
