MAUREEN MADU URGES PRESIDENT TINUBU TO REWARD VETERAN SUPER FALCONS
Five-time WAFCON winner Maureen Madu has called on President Tinubu to extend rewards to veteran Super Falcons who paved the way for Nigeria’s latest triumph. Speaking in Awka, Madu praised the president’s generous gifts to the 2025 team but reminded that past champions, who built the foundation over nine titles, also deserve recognition—if not equal rewards, then at least a token of appreciation.
Madu, who also runs a girls’ football academy, says acknowledging veterans will inspire young girls to pursue football seriously and honour the legacy of Nigeria’s women’s football pioneers.
