FG TO LAUNCH STATE-BY-STATE HOUSING CAMPAIGN UNDER RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE

The Federal Government is kicking off a nationwide housing campaign to make homeownership a reality for all Nigerians. Announced by Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa at the Africa International Housing Show in Abuja, the initiative will roll out across all 36 states and the FCT. It aims to close the gap between national housing policies and action on the ground by partnering with state governments, private investors, and international partners to deliver affordable housing options.

The campaign includes appointing housing reform champions in states, holding roundtables, providing technical support, and unlocking financing through key institutions like the Federal Mortgage Bank and Shelter Afrique. With over N70 billion in private capital secured for PPP projects targeting mid to high-income earners, the government underscores that housing is a fundamental right—not just a roof but a foundation for dignity, health, and national stability.
