MINISTRY CONTACTS STRANDED NIGERIANS IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, REPATRIATION UNDERWAY
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms it has reached stranded Nigerians in the Central African Republic and is working with local authorities to ensure their safe return.
Passports have been recovered and a military-escorted convoy is set to bring the Nigerians from Bambari to Bangui on July 26. The ministry is also negotiating their accommodation and welfare, urging all Nigerians abroad to verify employers and register with Nigerian embassies to avoid similar situations.
