KUDAN LGA PROPOSES KADCHMA CARD AS REQUIREMENT FOR MARRIAGE TO BOOST HEALTHCARE ENROLMENT

Kudan Local Government Chairman Dauda Abba wants couples to present the Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) enrolment card before marriage to expand access to quality healthcare, especially maternal services.

The move aims to increase enrollment, protect families from medical costs, and reduce maternal and child mortality. A by-law is being drafted to enforce this, also requiring political aspirants to show KADCHMA cards. Traditional and religious leaders are urged to support awareness efforts.
