Kano Judicial Service Commission Demotes Registrars Over Misconduct

The Kano State Judicial Service Commission has demoted Court Registrar Adamu Salisu from Grade Level 13 to 12 for forgery and falsifying affidavits, removing him from his High Court post. He admitted guilt and received a stern warning against further unethical acts or else face harsher penalties, including prosecution.

Also demoted is Yusuf Ayuba, a clerical assistant absent without leave for four months, downgraded from Grade Level 5 to 4. These moves underscore the Commission’s zero-tolerance policy on judicial misconduct and efforts to uphold discipline and integrity across the judiciary.

The sanctions were decided following investigations by the Judiciary Public Complaints Committee to ensure accountability and deter future violations within Kano’s judicial system.
