SOKOTO EMPOWERS 40 VVF AND GBV SURVIVORS WITH LIFELIHOOD SKILLS

Sokoto State teams up with UNFPA to give 40 survivors of Vesico Vaginal Fistula and Gender-Based Violence tools and training for a fresh start.

At a 5-day skills training closing, government officials highlighted efforts to boost survivors’ confidence and independence while expanding healthcare services. Beneficiaries received business kits for soya bean and cake-making, plus transport support. The government and UNFPA pledged continued backing to improve women’s health and social reintegration.
