U.S. OFFERS FREE FLIGHT AND $1,000 TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WHO SELF-DEPORT VIA APP

The U.S. is rolling out a new offer: illegal immigrants can now self-deport using the CBP Home app, getting a free flight home plus a $1,000 stipend—plus forgiveness of fines.

Harry Fones from the Department of Homeland Security explained that by registering on the app, individuals (and their families) can voluntarily leave the U.S. without facing harsh deportation. This program aims to streamline departures, reduce enforcement costs, and potentially preserve future legal entry options.

The app has been revamped for easier use and expanded language support, encouraging more people to take this voluntary route before facing forced removal.
