Kogi’s girls get a financial boost! AGILE’s new Conditional Cash Transfer scheme aims to keep girls in school and break economic barriers to education.
State Project Coordinator Ahmed Oricha unveiled the program during a visit to the Ohinoyi of Ebira’s palace, highlighting its goal to improve enrolment, retention, and transition in public secondary schools. Girls in JSS1 and SS1 will receive up to ₦50,000, tied to attendance and academic progress.
The Ohinoyi praised the initiative, urging parents to support their daughters’ education, calling it an investment in the community’s future. AGILE’s scheme combines financial aid with strong community backing to transform lives.
