TINUBU EYES STRONGER NIGERIA-VIETNAM PARTNERSHIP

Nigeria and Vietnam are turning up the heat on trade, investment, and climate action—President Tinubu is all in for a deeper, greener partnership.

During a high-profile meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to boosting ties in trade, energy, mining, infrastructure, and sustainability. Vietnam, a key partner since 1976, is eager to expand cooperation, with plans for Tinubu to visit soon.

Both leaders agreed to ramp up bilateral trade and work together on sustainable resource use and climate change. Meanwhile, PM Chinh also met with WTO’s Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to discuss free trade and economic growth in Africa.
