SOLDIERS WITH A HEART: NIGERIAN ARMY & AIR FORCE HONOUR VETERANS AND GIVE BACK IN BAYELSA

In a heartwarming display of service beyond the battlefield, the Nigerian Army and Air Force rolled out the red carpet for their veterans and the local community in Bayelsa State this weekend.
Brigadier-General Oluremi Obolo, Commander of the 16 Brigade Sector 2 Joint Task Force South South Operation Delta Safe, was spotted handing out mosquito nets to elderly residents of Eniwari Community during a Free Medical Outreach. This thoughtful gesture was part of the 2025 Army Day celebrations, proving that the Army’s mission includes protecting lives in more ways than one.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Air Force took time to honour its retired personnel with a special parley led by the Chief of the Air Staff in Yenagoa. Senior officers mingled with veterans, sharing stories and respect, reminding everyone that once a flyer, always a flyer.
From mosquito nets to medals, Bayelsa witnessed the true spirit of service—where respect for the past meets care for the present.
