OPPOSITION GIANTS UNITE: ADC GETS A POWERFUL MAKEOVER IN ABUJA!

When heavyweights from Nigeria’s political arena come together, you know the game is about to change. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) just got a star-studded upgrade, and Abuja was the place to be!
In a spectacular political rendezvous at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Nigeria’s opposition titans gathered under one roof to adopt the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their new political home. The National Coalition of Political Opposition Movement in Nigeria (NCPOMN) made it official, and the lineup was nothing short of a political dream team.
From the left, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar rubbed shoulders with former Rivers State Governor Chief Rotimi Amaechi and Kaduna State’s former Governor Alhaji Nasir el-Rufai, signaling a new era of collaboration. Not to be outdone, former Sokoto State Governor Sen. Aminu Tambuwal, ex-APC National Chairman Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi, Osun’s former Governor and acting ADC National Secretary Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and the newly minted acting ADC National Chairman, former Senate President Sen. David Mark, completed this powerhouse lineup.
The ceremony also featured a symbolic passing of the torch as former ADC National Chairman Chief Ralf Nwosu formally handed over the reins to Sen. David Mark, decorating him with the mantle of leadership amidst cheers and applause.
This gathering isn’t just a photo op—it’s a bold statement that Nigeria’s opposition is consolidating strength and gearing up for a fresh political chapter. With seasoned leaders steering the ADC ship, the party is poised to make waves in the nation’s political waters.
Stay tuned, Nigeria. The opposition just got a serious upgrade.
