NADDC PARTNERS WITH LADY MECHANIC INITIATIVE TO TRAIN WOMEN ON CNG VEHICLE CONVERSION
The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) is teaming up with the Lady Mechanic Initiative to train female technicians on converting petrol vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The five-day training in Benin aims to boost women’s technical skills and promote gender inclusion in Nigeria’s growing clean energy auto sector.

NADDC Director-General Joseph Osanipin called the program a key step toward sustainable development and gender equality, aligning with Nigeria’s clean energy goals. Over 50 women are enrolled, with support from the Edo Government, as the initiative opens new career paths for female mechanics.
