Diogo José Teixeira da Silva, known as Diogo Jota, was born on December 4, 1996, in Porto, Portugal. Starting his football journey at Gondomar SC and Paços de Ferreira, he quickly rose through the ranks with his sharp finishing, pace, and dribbling skills. His early career saw moves to Atlético Madrid and loans to FC Porto and Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he helped Wolves secure promotion to the Premier League.
In 2020, Jota joined Liverpool for a £41 million fee, fulfilling his childhood dream of playing in England’s top flight. At Liverpool, he became a key forward, scoring 65 goals in 182 appearances and helping the club win the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup. Internationally, he earned 49 caps for Portugal, winning the UEFA Nations League twice.
