KWARA SEES 85% UPTAKE OF SELF-INJECTION FAMILY PLANNING METHOD
Kwara State has recorded an impressive 85% uptake of self-injection contraceptives using DMPA-SC, allowing women to discreetly and conveniently manage family planning at home every three months. This success comes through the Society for Family Health’s (SFH) collaboration with the state government under the DISC 2.0 project.

Officials highlight the method’s role in promoting healthy pregnancies, child spacing, and improved reproductive health across all 16 local government areas, with plans to integrate it fully into the state health system.
