KOREAN CULTURAL CENTRE CALLS FOR NIGERIAN-KOREAN MUSIC COLLABORATION
Jeon Ju Ho, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre in Nigeria, urged Nigerians to join forces with the Korean community to promote Korea’s traditional music blended into global K-pop. Speaking at the Abuja launch of the “K-pop Meets Korean Traditional Music” exhibition, Ju Ho highlighted how K-pop incorporates traditional sounds, creating a unique cultural fusion.
Co-hosted with the National Gugak Centre, the exhibition aims to introduce Nigerians to Korean traditional instruments and explore potential collaborations with Afrobeat, fostering deeper cultural exchange between Korea and Nigeria.
