UNICEF and Taraba Govt Launch Immunisation Drive for Over One Million Children
UNICEF, in partnership with the Taraba Government, has kicked off an integrated immunisation campaign targeting more than one million children aged 0-5 to fight polio and other deadly diseases. Dr. Nuzhat Rafique, UNICEF Bauchi Field Office Chief, stressed the urgent need to vaccinate every child, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
Local leaders praised the strong collaboration and urged parents to ensure their children receive vaccines. The campaign also includes vitamin A supplements, deworming, and health education to boost child survival and curb disease outbreaks.
