TCN Boosts Power Supply with New Transformers at Birnin Kebbi Substation
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has energized two new transformers at its 330/132/33 KV Birnin Kebbi Transmission Substation, increasing its capacity from 300MVA to 450MVA. The 100 and 150 MVA transformers, energized last Friday, add 120MW of bulk power to Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company for Kebbi, Sokoto, and surrounding areas.

This upgrade also supports stable power supply to Niamey, Niger Republic. TCN reaffirms its commitment to expanding and maintaining Nigeria’s transmission network for reliable nationwide power delivery.
