NIPR Congratulates Bashir Adeniyi on Historic Election as WCO Chairperson
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has congratulated Comptroller-General Bashir Adeniyi on his election as Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), marking the first time a Nigerian has held this prestigious global role. The announcement came after the 145th/146th WCO Council Meeting in Brussels.

NIPR President Dr. Ike Neliaku praised Adeniyi’s achievement as a testament to the power of strategic communication and public relations in leadership. Adeniyi, former NIPR vice president, is expected to drive transformative reforms and enhance global customs communication during his tenure.
