Leaders Urged to Immortalise Yar’Adua with Presidential Library
At the 2nd Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Leadership Conference in Abuja, Nigerian leaders were called upon to honour late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s legacy by establishing a presidential library in his name. The event, organised by the Global Initiative for Leadership Success (GILS), celebrated Yar’Adua’s integrity, humility, and commitment to democratic reforms.

Speakers praised Yar’Adua for his electoral transparency, the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme, and his push for justice and accountability. Experts recommended key electoral reforms, including removing presidential influence in INEC appointments, promoting gender balance, and creating an Electoral Offences Commission.

The conference also recognised outstanding Nigerians for their contributions to national growth, calling on current leaders to pursue genuine reforms and uphold Yar’Adua’s legacy.
