Gov. Peter Mbah: “I’m Still PDP—Focused on Serving Enugu, Not Party Politics”
Enugu Governor Peter Mbah has made it clear he’s not leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), telling the Nigeria Guild of Editors he remains committed to the party despite its current challenges. Mbah acknowledged PDP’s issues but noted all parties face similar hurdles and expressed confidence in the party’s ability to resolve them.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s constitution doesn’t allow for independent candidates, so political engagement remains essential. Mbah also highlighted the return of his former rival, Chijioke Edeoga, to the PDP, saying their collaboration has brought political peace and unity to Enugu.
