Ebonyi Partners with L-PRES to Boost Livestock Farming, Launches N150m Integrated Ranch
The Ebonyi State Government is teaming up with the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Project (L-PRES) to transform livestock farming. The state has released N150 million to kickstart the project, which includes an integrated ranch at Ezzangbo, Ohaukwu LGA, featuring a vet lab, cold chain, pasture, and a smart skills training center.

L-PRES has already trained 14,000 farmers on climate-smart livestock practices, and new interventions will provide cold stores, solar-powered boreholes, and upgraded abattoirs across the state. The initiative aims to boost productivity, resilience, and commercialization in Ebonyi’s livestock sector.
