Tinubu Hosts Peace Talks Between Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara and Minister Wike
President Bola Tinubu held a crucial reconciliation meeting Thursday night at the State House, bringing together suspended Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Rivers Assembly Speaker Martins Amaewhule, and key political leaders.
The closed-door talks aim to end the ongoing political feud in Rivers State. After the meeting, Wike said all parties agreed to work together as one political family, while Fubara thanked Tinubu for fostering peace, calling it vital for the state’s progress.
Recall, Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers on March 18, suspending Fubara, his deputy, and the entire State Assembly.
