Police Arrest Four in NANS-Branded Car with Pistol and Charms in Osun
Osun Police nabbed four young men traveling in a vehicle marked with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) logo, seizing a pistol, empty magazines, a cutlass, and suspected charms. The suspects—claiming to be students—were stopped on June 24 along the Osogbo-Ilesa road during a security sweep.
Police Commissioner Ibrahim Gotan warned that using NANS symbols won’t shield criminals, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
In a related case, two men were arrested for stealing electric cables from IBEDC infrastructure, caught with stolen wires and saw blades along the Ile-Ife/Ibadan expressway.
