Over 3,000 Patients Get Life-Changing Urology Surgeries Thanks to Mangal Foundation in Katsina
The Alhaji Dahiru Mangal Foundation has been a true lifesaver in Katsina, sponsoring urology surgeries for more than 3,000 vulnerable patients so far. Since launching the initiative, the foundation has invested about ₦80 million, with another ₦20 million set aside to help 100 more patients this quarter.
Board member Husaaini Kabir explained that the project covers urinary tract diseases and offers free drugs for those who don’t need surgery. The foundation’s reach even extends to neighboring states and Niger Republic, easing healthcare burdens for many who struggle to afford treatment.
Beneficiaries like Malam Adamu Aliyu, a Katsina State Polytechnic staff, say the support is a huge relief. The foundation, established in 2016, also sponsors eye, hernia, and hydrocele surgeries—proving its commitment to empowering the less privileged.
