Explosion Rocks Kano Steel Factory: 5 Dead, Police Investigate
A blast at Yongxing Steel Company in Kano’s Mariri Quarters has left five people dead and several injured. The explosion happened while unloading scrap metal from a truck from Damaturu, Yobe. Police, led by Commissioner Ibrahim Bakori, quickly secured the scene and found five suspected explosive devices.
Fifteen victims were rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, but sadly, five didn’t survive. Authorities have launched a full investigation and are urging residents to stay calm, stay alert, and report any suspicious activity.
