Adamawa Rolls Out N2bn Support to Empower Farmers, Boost Food Security!
Adamawa State is stepping up for its farmers! The government has kicked off a massive 2025 agricultural support programme, pumping N2 billion into subsidized seeds, fertilizers, and essential materials for smallholder farmers across six local government areas.
Commissioner Prof. David Jatau says the plan covers 300 hectares per LGA, with 300 farmers in each council set to benefit. The goal? More food, more jobs, and stronger rural communities. A transparent committee is overseeing selection, and extension workers are being trained to help farmers boost their yields with modern techniques.
With over 2,700 hectares pledged by partners, Adamawa is serious about food self-sufficiency. Farmers—this is your moment!
